About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Investment Banking Analyst to join our growing team. This role offers exceptional exposure to complex transactions, direct client interaction, and an opportunity to make an impact in a fast-paced boutique environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed financial models.
- Conduct industry and company research, with a focus on the automotive retail sector.
- Prepare client-facing presentations, pitch books, industry presentations and valuation materials.
- Support deal execution through buyer outreach, due diligence, data analysis, and closing.
- Collaborate with senior bankers on live M&A transactions.
- Contributing to The Haig Report® and industry research.
- Manage CRM and pipeline reporting.
- Traveling 4–10 times per year for closings and industry events (some weekends).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in investment banking, transaction advisory, private equity, corporate development, accounting or related field.
- Strong technical skills in Excel and PowerPoint; proficiency in financial modeling and deck creation.
- Understanding of valuation methods and accounting principles.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and deadlines.
- High attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- Must be able to work from our Fort Lauderdale office (this is not a remote role).
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience in M&A or auto retail industry.
- CRM software experience (especially HubSpot).
- Industry interest in automotive or transportation.
Pay range and compensation package:
- Competitive base salary ($100,000–$120,000, depending on experience).
- Target bonus of 50% of base salary.
- Benefits package, including health, dental, vision, and retirement plan.
- High deal exposure and accelerated career growth in a boutique firm setting.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Live in the Fort Lauderdale area or be willing to relocate to Fort Lauderdale.
- Authorized to work in the United States - no need for visa sponsorship.
- 1+ years of experience with Microsoft PowerPoint.
- 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Excel.
